The Cat's Place

Ah, the Cat. He's marvelously played by a great actor who, incidently, also played a part in Cats the musical.
This is the official description from
Red Dwarf: The Official Website.
Cat (Danny -John Jules) He's vain, he's narcissistic, he's also selfish, self centred and shallow, and we mustn't forget egotistical. But he's a cat, a creature of instinct, and those are some of his best qualities. Anyway, he has proved himself consistently useful to the Red Dwarf crew's mission: on at least two occasions in his lifetime, he has had plans taken up by the others, and his quivering nostril hairs can detect danger even through the void of space. He's an excellent pilot, and when something needs doing, you don't have to tell him twice. Well okay then, maybe you do.

Before I ever had a website, I collected pictures of Cat. If one of your pics is on here please inform me so I can cite you or take it off if you want.

The Cat will live on. He does have nine lives, you know. I'll always be a loyal fan to our favorite Cat from Red Dwarf.

Ooo... it's a shiny thing!

This page is simply a shrine to all of Cat's shapes and forms. I did not scan or create any of these pictures. They are simply my collection of pictures that I have gotten from the web. I do not presume to take credit for them. Copy them at your own risk.

More caterwauling

If you were expecting anything other than an egotistical creature of nature, I'm sorry. I think that Cat is one of the most interesting characters on TV. He's evolved with each series, yet keeps his love of himself and his fashions the foremost important thing in his life. Nothing can compare to a purely instinctive creature who is not afraid to speak his mind. Despite what most people think, I do not believe he's as devoid of brains as he seems. He's usually able to come out with some pretty witty things... when he chooses. That's the point. Cat is the master of himself, not letting anybody tell him what to do or think. He is a unique individual. I can't help but admire him and I commend Danny John-Jules for being able to make Cat's character come to life. Cheers!
